Private Custom Island Tour of Amami with a Local Guide
Discover Amami Oshima at your own pace on a completely private island tour tailored to your interests. Choose from viewpoints, beaches, villages, waterfalls, and brown sugar shochu distilleries, and plan the day's route together with a local guide.
この体験について
Create your own private day on Amami Oshima around the places you want to visit and the scenery you hope to see.
Choose from ocean viewpoints, peaceful villages, waterfalls, forests, sunset beaches, and brown sugar shochu distilleries. Your guide will suggest a comfortable route that takes travel time, season, and weather into account.
Rather than following a fixed sightseeing circuit, shape the day around your interests: spectacular views, a journey farther south, a relaxed visit to island villages, or a stop at a shochu distillery.
You can also ask about destinations not listed among the suggested stops.
体験の特徴
The main feature is that there is no fixed route. You may choose places yourself or simply tell your guide what appeals to you—beautiful seas, quieter locations, photography, or the villages and daily life of Amami—and leave the route planning to them. Amami Oshima stretches a long way from north to south, and different areas may have very different scenery and weather on the same day. The itinerary is adjusted to driving time, weather, and sea and forest conditions.

この体験の魅力
Beyond the famous scenic stops in guidebooks, Amami Oshima offers unexpected sea views by the roadside, village lanes, forest streams and scenes islanders see every day.
This tour values what you discover rather than how many places you tick off a list.
Aasa, born and raised on Amami and still living on the island, shares perspectives on local life, culture, differences between communities and living with nature that ordinary sightseeing descriptions may not provide.
On a clear day, visit a viewpoint with long-distance views. After rain, perhaps choose a waterfall with a stronger flow. In the late afternoon, you may want to head for a western beach. Flexibility lets the day's natural conditions shape the experience.
Whether you already know where you want to go or need inspiration, create a day on Amami that suits you.
