Beach Snorkeling Tour
Explore the waters of northern Amami on a small-group snorkeling tour, looking for sea turtles, fish, and coral. An experienced female guide selects a spot according to sea conditions and your preferences and provides attentive support. Even first-time snorkelers can enjoy Amami's blue underwater world at their own pace.

Enjoy an approximately three-hour, half-day snorkeling tour in the sea off northern Amami. Your guide chooses a suitable spot based on the day's sea conditions and your interests, with possible sightings of sea turtles, colorful fish, and corals.
Your guide is Yukie Kato, who has extensive experience guiding in the ocean as a diving instructor. Groups are limited to four people, with patient instructions on equipment use for first-time snorkelers and anyone who feels unsure about swimming.
Whether you hope to see turtles, observe fish closely, or enjoy coral habitats, your guide will take your preferences into account where possible so you can experience the sea of Amami at a relaxed pace.
体験の特徴
Small groups allow the guide to keep a close eye on participants and adjust the pace to their experience and fitness. The snorkeling site is selected according to sea conditions, crowding and your preferences rather than fixed in advance. Photos and videos taken during the experience are also provided. Experienced guests aged 20 or over may skin-dive if the guide judges their skills sufficient. Equipment is chosen with ease of use in mind.

Yukie Kato has worked as a diving guide and introduces the characteristics and behavior of marine life as you explore. Rather than asking everyone to keep up with a large group, Oceania prioritizes each participant's comfort and confidence.
As apprehension about entering the sea gradually fades, you may find yourself enjoying Amami's blue waters and marine life at your own pace. Share a relaxing and fun time in the ocean.

加藤 ゆき枝（かとう ゆきえ）
Oceania代表／奄美群島認定エコツアーガイド
山梨県出身。社会人として東京でデザイン関係の仕事に携わった後、ダイビングと出会い、PADIのインストラクター資格を取得。石垣島でダイビングガイドとして経験を積みました。
その後はイルカやクジラなど鯨類への関心を深め、ドルフィンスイムやホエールウォッチング／スイムにも関わるように。奄美へ移住後、ツアーガイド店で経験を積み、2022年に女性ガイドが運営するネイチャーガイド店「Oceania（オーシャニア）」を開業しました。
現在は奄美群島認定エコツアーガイドとして、海・川・沢・滝・生き物を案内。PADI オープンウォーター・スクーバ・インストラクター、PADI スノーケルガイド・インストラクター、JSPA ベーシックインストラクター（レクリエーションカヤック）、潜水士の資格を持ち、冬季はホエールスイムのガイドとしても活動しています。

8:30 a.m. — Meet and check in. Guests requesting pick-up travel from their accommodation to a partner facility or the day's snorkeling site; other guests meet at the facility or on site. Review the tour consent form and pre-snorkeling checklist, fit equipment, receive instructions and change into a wetsuit if needed.
9:40 a.m. — Travel to the snorkeling site. Warm up, prepare equipment, go to the beach and learn swimming techniques. Snorkel for approximately 30–50 minutes.
11:00 a.m. — Finish snorkeling, shower and change. A partner facility may provide showers, changing rooms and hairdryers; on-site departures may use beach facilities or a portable shower and changing tent. Transfer guests return to their accommodation; others depart on site.
Around noon — Finish or arrive back at the accommodation.
Note: Times may vary with weather, sea conditions and group pace. Since snorkeling takes place around low tide, the schedule is adjusted to the tide.
Ages 6–65. Children must be able to put their faces in the water. Guests aged 66 or over must have snorkeling experience, no relevant health problems and a medical certificate. Please check eligibility in advance if you are pregnant or may be pregnant, or have respiratory, circulatory, ear/nose/throat issues, diabetes, high blood pressure, epilepsy or other relevant conditions.

A swimsuit worn under your clothes, sandals or water shoes that can get wet, drinks and a bath towel. Bring reef-friendly sunscreen and motion-sickness medicine if needed.
Wear a T-shirt, shorts or a skirt over your swimsuit. Wear sandals or water shoes that can get wet. A rash guard and leggings are also suitable in hot weather. For a smooth start, remove makeup, apply sunscreen and tie back your hair before meeting your guide.
The guide may refuse participation if illness, a hangover or other conditions make it unsafe on the day. Full-face snorkel masks are not permitted. Snorkeling is scheduled around low tide, so the start time is proposed according to tide levels. Wildlife is not fed.
