Enjoy beach snorkeling and mangrove kayaking on a private, full-day tour. The order of activities is adjusted to sea conditions and tides, giving your group time to explore the sea and forest at its own pace. Your lunch preferences are also considered as you discover Amami in a relaxed way.

Experience two different sides of Amami's natural environment—the sea and the mangroves—on a full-day private tour for your group.
Snorkel from a beach in the morning or afternoon to explore Amami's blue waters and look for turtles, fish, and corals. During the other part of the day, paddle by kayak through the mangrove forest of Sumiyo for approximately one and a half to two hours.
Lunch suggestions can also be tailored to your preferences, from local dishes such as keihan to seafood or cafés. Because the tour is private, the day's pace can be adjusted to your fitness, interests, and sea conditions.
体験の特徴
The highlight is an entire private day combining sea and mangroves. For snorkeling, the guide chooses sites according to your interests—sea turtles, fish or coral—where conditions permit. In the mangroves, paddle along a longer route through narrow, jungle-like waterways and tunnels of mangrove trees. Snorkeling is timed for low tide and kayaking for high tide, so the morning and afternoon order may be reversed depending on the tides.

The appeal lies in spending an entire day between sea and forest at a pace that suits your private group.
During snorkeling, Yukie Kato draws on her diving-guide experience to explain the characteristics and ecology of marine life. For kayaking, she carefully teaches beginners how to use a paddle; guests concerned about fitness may also be able to ride in a two-person kayak with the guide.
From activities to lunch, the day is planned for your comfort. This tour is a clear expression of Oceania's “Relaxing & Fun” approach.

加藤 ゆき枝（かとう ゆきえ）
Oceania代表／奄美群島認定エコツアーガイド
山梨県出身。社会人として東京でデザイン関係の仕事に携わった後、ダイビングと出会い、PADIのインストラクター資格を取得。石垣島でダイビングガイドとして経験を積みました。
その後はイルカやクジラなど鯨類への関心を深め、ドルフィンスイムやホエールウォッチング／スイムにも関わるように。奄美へ移住後、ツアーガイド店で経験を積み、2022年に女性ガイドが運営するネイチャーガイド店「Oceania（オーシャニア）」を開業しました。
現在は奄美群島認定エコツアーガイドとして、海・川・沢・滝・生き物を案内。PADI オープンウォーター・スクーバ・インストラクター、PADI スノーケルガイド・インストラクター、JSPA ベーシックインストラクター（レクリエーションカヤック）、潜水士の資格を持ち、冬季はホエールスイムのガイドとしても活動しています。

8:30 a.m. — Meet and check in. Guests requesting transportation are picked up; others meet at the partner facility or snorkeling site. Review the consent and pre-snorkeling forms, fit equipment, receive instructions and change into a wetsuit.
9:50 a.m. — Warm up, review swimming techniques and enjoy approximately 30–50 minutes of beach snorkeling.
11:00 a.m. — Finish, shower, change into kayaking clothes and travel toward lunch.
12:30 p.m. — Lunch for approximately one hour at a recommended restaurant based on your preferences, such as keihan, seafood or a café.
1:30 p.m. — Travel to the mangroves, stop at a viewpoint for photos and take a restroom break.
1:45 p.m. — Go to the kayak boarding point, prepare waterproof phone cases and rainwear if needed, and learn paddling techniques.
2:00 p.m. — Start a long mangrove kayak route lasting approximately 1.5–2 hours, through mangrove tunnels and narrow, jungle-like waterways.
4:00 p.m. — Finish kayaking and take a restroom break. Transfer guests return to their accommodation; others depart on site.
Around 4:30–5:00 p.m. — Finish or arrive back at the accommodation.
Note: The snorkeling and kayaking order may be reversed to align snorkeling with low tide and kayaking with high tide.
Ages 6–65. Children must be able to put their faces in the water. Guests aged 66 or over need snorkeling experience, good health and a medical certificate. Guests who are or may be pregnant, or who have specified medical conditions, may be ineligible or need medical documentation and advance assessment.

A swimsuit, sandals or water shoes that can get wet, drinks and a bath towel. As needed, bring a hat, reef-friendly sunscreen, motion-sickness medicine, sunglasses, and a phone or camera.
Snorkeling: wear a T-shirt and shorts over your swimsuit; a rash guard and leggings are also suitable. Mangroves: wear quick-drying, comfortable clothes and sports sandals with a secure heel strap, or water shoes. In cooler weather, add layers such as a windbreaker. Please remove makeup, apply sunscreen and tie back your hair before the meeting or during the break to help the tour run smoothly.
